" Studying this subject [IPR] in a Chinese context has been a very stimulating and enriching opportunity."
In general, studying abroad is considered as a great experience, and my experience participating in this Summer School in China was a unique one. Studying for a month in Beijing was a fantastic opportunity that broadened my horizons and opened my mind to a culture far away from my previous western experiences. I learned how to manage problems from a completely different point of view and I grew a lot as a person.

"For me, the summer school was not the end by itself... I took the decision to apply for Erasmus Placement at gLAWcal, and it enhanced my skills, especially my English, and it made my professional profile more international."
I decided to take part to the summer school program for many reasons. First at all, I believed that it would have been an experience that enriches both my professional and personal experience.
I considered environmental and intellectual property issues (subjects of the two curricula) interesting and a living matter. It also seemed to me that those themes were unreasonably neglected within the university academic environment. Moreover, I found that the interactive approach of lectures, along with the multicultural context, and Beijing location endowed the program with sort of added-value, even though I had never before participated to a summer school.

“I never considered the possibility of moving to such a different country, but after one year here, since I came to China, I can say that I made the right decision.”
I decided to attend the edition of the Summer School in 2013, during my last year of University, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan, motivated by the desire to know a new different reality from the European one and because of the interest of contemporary issues: climate change and Intellectual property Law, with focus on China.
I cannot forget my first impression when I arrived to Beijing: everything was completely far and different for what we are used to. None understood me and I did not understand them. I have always travelled a lot, but never push me so much far in the East.
