"...my reason for applying for this program was specially the intellectual property rights curriculum. But how surprised I was to discover the other curriculum topics: environment, climate change, sustainable development and energy."
Looking on it now, from nowadays perspective, the experience that I made in China was one of the mostinstructive ones I have ever had: starting from the moment I learned about the Summer Law Institute, struggles to get the financial support to get to China and the stay there, and everything I have learned and gained as experience there.

“It was an extraordinary month that I’ll remember for the rest of my life”.
Originally, my goal was to do an internship abroad. My alma mater (Catholic University of Milan) gave me a chance to contact Professor Paolo Farah. He offered me to attend the program of the Summer School and I was so excited about that idea to meet new people, to make this life experience, and of course the curiosity to know a country so different and so far as only China can be.

"...do not give up the opportunity when it comes knocking… I didn’t and it was one of the best decisions I made!"
This journey initially began in 2014 while I was completing my LLB at University of the West Indies Cavehill campus in Barbados. I was on the law school’s Facebook page and the advertisement caught my attention. After reading it a few times I became more and more interested as I thought this could be a wonderful opportunity to indeed broaden my knowledge base in Intellectual Property Law and Climate Change as well as to learn about a new culture.
