“It was an extraordinary month that I’ll remember for the rest of my life”.
Originally, my goal was to do an internship abroad. My alma mater (Catholic University of Milan) gave me a chance to contact Professor Paolo Farah. He offered me to attend the program of the Summer School and I was so excited about that idea to meet new people, to make this life experience, and of course the curiosity to know a country so different and so far as only China can be.
In Beijing, I had the chance to participate to interesting lessons focusing on legislation of the protection of the intellectual property rights and solutions related to climate change, which are strongly correlating and do have impact to everyday life.
China adventure was a unique experience for me because the quality of the program and its courses, because of the new wonderful friendships I have started with other participants, and because of giving me an opportunity to know China – a rich country in terms of culture.
It was an extraordinary month that I’ll remember for the rest of my life, I learned about topics that I had not known and I met professors from the best universities.
Right now I am spending a semester in Brussels for an internship at the Fair Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO). I got this internship thanks to Professor Farah, whom I thank once again.
I leave you now with my personal suggestion. Are you considering attending Summer Institute in China? – Just Do It! That is only way!

Il mio obiettivo era quello di fare un periodo di studio e stage all'estero e tramite la mia Universita' (Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) ho avuto la possibilita' di essere contattata dal Professor Paolo Farah. Egli stesso mi ha proposto il programma della Summer Institute che da subito mi ha entusiasmata per l'idea di poter conoscere persone nuove, aggiungere questa esperienza nella mia vita e ovviamente per la curiosita' di conoscere un paese tanto diverso e lontano come Cina.
A Pechino ho avuto la possibilita' di partecipare ad interessanti lezioni riguardo la normativa a tutela della proprietà intellettuale e i problemi e le soluzioni legate ai cambiamenti climatici, che mi hanno fortemente sensibilizzato a questi temi.
La Cina e' stata un'esperienza unica per la qualita' dei corsi, per le bellissime amicizie e per aver avuto la possibilita' di conoscere un Paese ricco di cultura. E' stata un mese straordinario, che ricordero' per sempre nella mia vita, ho imparato temi che non conoscevo e ho potuto incontrare professori provenienti da alcune delle migliori universita'.
In questo momento sto trascorrendo un semestre a Bruxelles per il tirocinio presso il Fair Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO) in collabrazione con gLAWcal – Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development (UK) con cui sono stata messa in contatto dal Prof. Paolo Farah e dallo staff del Summer Law Institute come parte integrante del programma in Cina, che ringrazio ancora una volta.
