Chieh Sheng Lin – SLI Participant 2014
“For me, the most valuable gain has been precious friendships”.
It was a sudden surprise! During the summer vacation of 2014, when all classmates are busy by searching intern opportunities, I had a quite different experience – I attended the Summer Law Institute. I truly appreciate that participants of the Summer Law Institute were from many different countries of Europe and they were all studying or working in the related fields.
The courses of the Summer Law Institute were many and various; IP Law and Climate Change were new for me. I have been so happy to meet so many friends from many countries and attended the classes which were lectured by various specialists in these two sub-fields.
What impressed me was to attend the LIBEAC conference. Many scholars from France, Italy, China, Taiwan and Macau presented their speeches and comments in one day. Beside the courses, prof. Farah also arranged the individual mentoring for each participant and discussed opportunities for the carrier and professional future. I have received the internship tailored regarded to my needs and interests.
It was a very intensive summer program. Except attending the classes, the experience of tours around Beijing with new friends was really impressive. For me, the most valuable gain has been precious friendships.
